Travel
You may have noticed the posts at sevenstarlifestyle.com have slowed down latley. Sorry about that, the last couple months have been spent all around the country. but, travel is an important part of the Sevenstar Lifestyle. Which is why I've decided to take this time to write about the topic of travel.
Magellan, Columbus, Louis and Clark, these names are all synonymous with travel. The difference is today travel is known as a luxury instead of being adventurous. My motivation for travel though is the discovery, just like the adventurers of the past.
A lot of people ask me, "how can I find time to travel, I'm always busy" or
"how can I afford to travel, I can barley pay my bills as it is" first off, travel is something most of us do every day. We just don't see all the running around as travel, but as errands. 100 years ago the distance we travel in a day would be weeks worth of travel.
So what I'm saying is, make the travel you already do adventurous. Everywhere you go there is an opportunity for fun. Discover something you never saw before. Of course, any travel is better with a partner.
The second step in attaining your travel goals, is to set yourself free from the everyday things that keep you from travel. It could be a bad habit like smoking or a time consuming event like going out, or a job, one or all of these things will keep you from travel. Now, quitting your job may not be an easy thing especially when bills are pileing up. But, quitting smoking or limiting yourself on how many times you eat out or go to the bar are certainly sacrifices that can easily be made.
Third and probably most important step is planning. Everyone knows without a plan things can get hectic, out of control, and worst case not too much fun. In the travel game however, it can leave you stranded
on the side of the road. For myself, I had to plan a new way of life to fit travel and the other 6 stars into my life.
A job or career change was the biggest obstacle. Most jobs just don't allow much vacation time, or at least not for the serious traveler. Next is income, travel is an expensive thing and unless you are trust-funded your going to need income. Finding a job that you travel for is a great solution to both. Another solution Is finding a service you can do while traveling, the Internet makes this very possible.
My last piece of advise is to jump. Yes, take the leap. If you want to travel, the time is now YOLO (you only live once) hesitation will only make things more difficult. Just like skydiving if you linger to long thinking about jumping out, you'll eventually just buckle down and give up. Go while the goings good.
